The countdown is on for the Exponential Climate Action Summit: Circularity and The Race to Zero, a global broadcast focused on the challenges, opportunities, and solutions regarding circularity and resource efficiency. The broadcast premieres on September 23rd at 8 am EST.
The event is organized by We Don’t Have Time, a social network for everyone who wants to be a part of the solution to the climate crisis, alongside the Exponential Roadmap Initiative, Ericsson, and Ragn-Sells. Additional partners include Climate Week NYC, the UN Development Programme, TEDx Glasgow, Sustainable Development Sweden, and more.
Centered around circularity and the race to zero, the event will bring together a myriad of transformers, disruptors, and reformers to discuss the role a circular economy could play in combatting the climate emergency. The experts will explore how a circular economy can contribute to lowering emissions while also addressing human needs.
“If we are serious about creating a sustainable society, we have to exponentially increase the reuse of detoxified resources,” said Pär Larshans, Director of Sustainability at Ragn-Sells, a co-host of the event.
The event marks the social network’s third Exponential Climate Action Summit.
Hosting the broadcast will be We Don’t Have Time’s Catarina Rolfsdotter-Jansson and Nick Nuttall.
Event attendees will have the opportunity to hear from leading voices, including Dr. Johan Rockström, Director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research; Alexandra Davidsson, Secretary-General of The Swedish Association for Responsible Consumption; Gonzalo Muñoz, UN High-Level Climate Champion; and Anders Wijkman, opinion maker, author, and former Co-President of the Club of Rome.
Throughout the event, attendees will be able to interact through the app. Attendees can submit questions for the speakers as well as share comments and ideas.
